Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited for use, possession, display, or distribution at, on, or within Chesapeake Arena:
Bags larger than 12"x 6"x 12"
Coolers
Outside food or beverages
Illegal drugs and alcohol
Professional Cameras, detachable lenses or external flash units, or recording equipment (aside from smartphones) for audio, image, or video recording purposes
Weapons including guns, firearms, knives of any size, stunguns/tasers, bats or poles, pepper spray/mace.
Cigarettes, e-cigs, vape pens
Signs/Flags/Banners/Posters larger than 11" x 17." No signs should be attached to a pole/stick
Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, helmets, chairs
Balloons
Glass containers
Noisemaking devices of any kind including whistles, air horns, vuvuzelas, and cowbells
Laptops and tablets
Animals unless a service animal, as defined by the American Disabilities Act
Any other item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by Chesapeake Arena management, in their sole discretion
Alcoholic Beverages
For non-athletic and non-university events, Beer, Wine and cocktails are available on the concourse.
Premium full service bar is available in the Peake Club for premium seating and club purchasers.
For UMBC sporting events, beer, wine & seltzer will be served in the end zone lounge and Retriever Room.
Federal Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of twenty-one (21). Therefore, guests are required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena. The number of alcoholic beverages served may be limited to two drinks per person, per purchase. Management reserves the right to refuse service to guests who appear intoxicated or who are disturbing other guests. We encourage guests to drink responsibly and not to drive after drinking.
Cashless Venue
Chesapeake Arena is a cashless venue. We only accept all major credit, debit cards, Apple pay and Google pay at all concessions stands, bars, box office and merchandise stations.
Bag Policy
Bags no larger than12" x 6" x 12"will be permitted into Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena. Guests who have bags larger than this size will be asked to return them to their vehicles or discard them. This is in addition to the existing policy that all bags, purses or personal items of any size are subject to search. Diaper bags or Medical bags are allowed to exceed that size limit, but will be searched. This policy is subject to change based on a shows request.
Banners & Signs
Banners and signs are permitted as long as they do not block the view of others, interfere with the event, contain advertising of any form, present a safety hazard or contain political or obscene material. Banners may not be affixed with any type of material that is permanent in nature or that alters the facility in any manner. Poles and sticks are prohibited. Building management reserves the right to remove any banner or sign. Signs may also be prohibited, if requested by the event.
Cameras & Recording Devices
For most events, at the request of the artists and/or leagues, small point & shoot cameras are not allowed. Professional cameras (specifically cameras with professional/detachable lenses and flash) are not permitted. Chesapeake Arena reserves the right to examine and prohibit the use of any camera that conflicts with the policy set by the event.
Audio recorders, video recorders and digital cameras with video capabilities are prohibited during all events.
Cancelled or Postponed Events
In the event a performance is cancelled or rescheduled, information is immediately sent to the local media for distribution and placed on the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena website. We will also send an email to the database of purchasers for that event, if we have contact information.
If a event cancels, tickets purchased on Ticketmaster.com or in person at the Box Office will automatically be refunded. Refunds can take up to 30 business days to reflect in your account. Contact the point of purchase if you have any questions.
If the event is rescheduled, tickets purchased for the original date will be honored at the new date. In most cases, refunds will also be available at the original point of purchase up until the new date has passed.

Tickets purchased with a credit card will be refunded to the original card used to purchase the tickets. The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena is not responsible for tickets purchased through unauthorized sources.
Children Ticket Policy
Children 2 and under are free and do not require a ticket to gain admission to select events. Child must sit on a guardians lap for the duration of the event. Please note there are select events where this age requirements varies. Please be sure to check the specific event listing for more details.
Emergency Evacuation
In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and walk to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion. Follow posted signs and listen to announcements for specific instructions. In some circumstances you will be directed to remain in the building and staff will direct you where to go. Please do not use elevator. If you are disabled, trained staff members will assist you in getting to safety.

Guest Services
The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena Guest Services is located at the main entrance, behind section 100/101. Guest Services provide guests a convenient location to obtain information, offer suggestions, voice concerns and request assistance during events.
Lost & Found
During an event, you may inquire about lost or found items at our Guest Services location behind section 100/101
Re-Entry
For your safety, once a person exits the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena re-entry is strictly prohibited.
COVID Policies & Procedures
Chesapeake Arena works with each tour to determine the appropriate covid safety measures for each individual show based on state and federal health authorities guidelines. Please check the event listing for your event to view the most up to date covid policies.
Appropriate Attire
Appropriate attire must be worn in UMBC Facilities at all times, including shirt, shoes,
pants/shorts/skirts, unless the University provides an exception to these expectations due
to the intended usage of that specific Facility.
