ADA Accommodations
Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena is committed to full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and providing equal access to an enjoyable event experience for everyone in our community.
Chesapeake Arena, recognizing the special needs of thousands of its guests, offers a range of accommodations, not only to provide comfortable access to the venue, but also to ensure that everyone comes away with the same indelible memories.
Guests may purchase seating, based on their needs, directly through Ticketmaster. This includes, but is not limited to, wheelchair seating, limited mobility, vision, hearing & sensory.
Accessible seating is located in sections 100, 105. 106, 107, 108.
If a guest requires an accommodation after a ticket purchase has been made and prior to the event, please call 443.612.3840 to discuss relocation options.
For concerts, comedy shows & family events, Chesapeake Arena offers sign language interpreters to those guests who request such an accommodation. Either the guest in need or a member of their party must request this service a minimum of four (4) weeks prior to the performance. This may be done via the submission form or over the phone at 443.612.3840

Age Policy
For all sporting events and most concerts, children under twenty-four months do not require a ticket to be admitted, however, they must sit on an adult’s lap and may not occupy a seat.
Any child who has reached their second birthday will require a ticket to enter the arena and must occupy their ticketed seat.
Please note that some shows (especially those intended for children) may have a different age policy. Any events varying from our age policy will be clearly indicated on the event listing and ticketing pages.
Alcohol
For non-athletic and non-university events, beer, wine and cocktails are available on the concourse.
Premium full service bar is available in the Peake Club for premium seating and club purchasers.
For UMBC sporting events, beer, wine, and canned cocktails can be purchased at concessions during sporting events.
Federal Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of twenty-one (21). Therefore, guests are required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena.
The number of alcoholic beverages served may be limited to two drinks per person, per purchase. Management reserves the right to refuse service to guests who appear intoxicated or who are disturbing other guests.
We encourage guests to drink responsibly and not to drive after drinking.
Bag Policy
For the health and safety of all guests, and to expedite the entry process, Chesapeake Arena recommends that guests do not bring a bag to the arena.
If necessary, guests are permitted to bring a bag that fits within the following specifications:

Bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
This is in addition to the existing policy that all bags, purses or personal items of any size are subject to search. Diaper bags or medical bags are allowed to exceed that size limit, but will be searched.
This policy is subject to change based on a shows request.
Box Office
The Chesapeake Arena Box Office is located at the front of the arena to the right of the entrance doors.
The Box Office will open at 12pm for weekend events.

Cameras/Video Cameras
Recording equipment (aside from smartphones) – for audio, image, or video recording purposes (this includes professional cameras as well as cameras with detachable lenses regardless of length) are prohibited except for those who have specifically been granted access in advance by management and who possess appropriate credentials.
Small point & shoot cameras are not allowed
Cancellations/Rescheduled Shows
In the event that a show is canceled, Ticketmaster will be responsible for issuing refunds. Refunds are typically processed within 30 days after a show is canceled.
Information is immediately sent to the local media for distribution and placed on the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena website. We will also send an email to the database of purchasers for that event, if we have contact information.
If the event is rescheduled, tickets purchased for the original date will be honored at the new date. In most cases, refunds will also be available at the original point of purchase up until the new date has passed.
*Fees and charges associated with the ticket purchase may be retained.
Tickets purchased with a credit card will be refunded to the original card used to purchase the tickets. The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena is not responsible for tickets purchased through unauthorized sources.
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and walk to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion.
Follow posted signs and listen to announcements for specific instructions. In some circumstances you will be directed to remain in the building and staff will direct you where to go.
Please do not use elevator. If you are disabled, trained staff members will assist you in getting to safety.

Guest Services
The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena Guest Services is located at the main entrance, behind section 100/101.
Guest Services provides guests a convenient location to obtain information, offer suggestions, voice concerns and request assistance during events.
Lost & Found
During an event, guests can report lost items or turn in found items to our Guest Services booths located on each concourse.
To inquire about a lost item after an event, please fill out the Lost Item form.
A member of our team will respond to claims within one (1) to two (2) non-event, business days.
Payment
Chesapeake Arena is a cashless facility. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major credit cards are accepted.
This is subject to change depending on the event.
Parking
Chesapeake Arena is located on the campus of UMBC. Parking on event days is free and first come, first served.
Preferred parking can be purchased in advance through Parkwhiz. Visit our Parking page for more information.
Prohibited Items
Chesapeake Arena prohibits any person from using, possessing, carrying, displaying, or distributing any of the following items on, at, or within the arena, except as otherwise stated within this policy:
Alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco products, vaporizers, and drugs (including but not limited to marijuana and products containing THC)
Animals (unless a service animal as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act – ADA – and in accordance with Service Animal Policy)
Artificial noisemaking devices of any kind including but not limited to whistles, air horns, or plastic horns such as vuvuzelas
Bags, packs, and luggage that are not in compliance with the Bag Policy
Banners, flags, flag poles, signs, or similar items
Bottles or cans of any kind, shape, or size, regardless of material and regardless of empty or full
Cameras
Coolers
Distracting and dangerous items such as frisbees, balloons, beach balls, inflatables, laser pointers, light sticks flashlights, or other projectiles
Drones (UAS-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) or other model aircraft
Explosives, including but not limited to explosive materials, fireworks, components, or parts
Glass containers
Hazardous items including but not limited to fuels, torches, lighter fluid, chemicals, paint thinners, batteries, or aerosols
Illegal drugs and alcohol
Laptops and tablets, along with their accessories and similar devices, are prohibited except by arena, team, league, or performance personnel with a valid working purpose, or by media and broadcast personnel with appropriate arena credentials.
Outside food or beverages of any kind, except for those snacks needed for medical purposes
Packages or parcels of any kind, regardless of packaging
Signs/Flags/Banners/Posters larger than 11" x 17." No signs should be attached to a pole/stick
Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, helmets, chairs
Sporting equipment including but not limited to basketballs, sticks, bats, or other sports equipment
Tobacco and/or smoking products, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaporizers, cigars, lighters, marijuana, smokeless tobacco, and any other product, item, or device related to the consumption of tobacco or THC.
Tools, razor blades, razor-type blades, box cutters, letter openers, or scissors
Weapons, including but not limited to actual, toy, or replica:
1. Guns, firearms, firearm components/parts, ammunition and/or gun powder
2. Knives of any size, brass knuckles, black jacks, or kubatons
3. Martial arts weapons, night sticks, nunchucks, billy clubs, bats, stunguns/tasers, self-defense sprays, mace, pepper spray, sticks, or poles
Replica, toy, or antique representations of any the above items are also prohibited.
Any other item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by Chesapeake Arena management, in their sole discretion

All fans attending Chesapeake Arena events must pass through metal detectors when entering the arena.
Suspicious activity, disruptive patrons and guest-related problems should be reported to a staff member or police officer immediately. Uncooperative patrons showing disregard for other patrons, the arena or the teams may be ejected from the building. Intoxicated fans will not be allowed into the building. An ejected patron will not be allowed to return for the event.
You and your belongings may be searched upon entry into the building. By tendering your ticket and entering the building, you consent to such searches and waive any related claims that you might have against Chesapeake Arena. If you elect not to consent to a search, you will not be allowed into the building.
To report an incident in your seating area, notify the nearest staff member or security guard.
Signs
Banners and signs are permitted as long as they do not block the view of others, interfere with the event, contain advertising of any form, present a safety hazard or contain political or obscene material.
Banners may not be affixed with any type of material that is permanent in nature or that alters the facility in any manner.
Poles and sticks are prohibited. Building management reserves the right to remove any banner or sign. Signs may also be prohibited, if requested by the event.
Smoking
Chesapeake Arena is a smoke-free venue. UMBC is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is not permitted in the arena at any time. Additionally, electronic smoking devices are not permitted to be used on premises.
Re-Entry
For your safety, once a person exits the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena re-entry is strictly prohibited.
